Wild Abandon

Not so long ago a table of regular customers said to me, "Michael, we have voted Wild Abandon the most unpretentious restaurant in Portland." I loved that. It really summed up my hopes for people's perception of Wild Abandon. An easy go lucky sort of place, friendly, with well-prepared food and atmosphere, unique yet simple. A "Welcome into my home" sort of feel. Unpretentious. Master chef and co-owner James Thompson makes most everything from scratch down to the minute detail. Our Reuben's corned beef is house brined, as is the sauerkraut. We make our own salad dressings, sauces, fries, etc. No prepackaged frozen foods here! We use cage free eggs, the salmon is not farmed, and the meat is not packed with hormones. The fare is Classic American Comfort food, top drawer pub grub, and amazing breakfast fare with some international flare here and there. You may view our menus in their entirety on the website.
