The Bards, Irish owned and operated since it was opened in October 1995, was conceived as an authentic Irish bar and restaurant. It has the look of a real Irish bar, the food has strong Irish influences and many of the staff are Irish. It quickly became one of Philadelphia’s most popular and respected bars winning much critical acclaim. Over the years many, many famous people have been guests here.
