Since opening in May 2013, Bootleggers Modern American Smokehouse, with locations in Phoenix and Old Town Scottsdale, has become a rising star in the Valley’s food scene, with signature dishes like the PBLT sandwich (10-hour smoked pork belly, grilled pickle, shaved iceberg, Tabasco mayo, crispy onion, griddled sourdough) being named the Best Sandwich in the 2013 Best of Phoenix by the Phoenix New Times. More recently, Bootleggers has shown its mastery of more than just slow-smoked meats, winning both the People’s Choice for Tacos & The Best Craft Cocktail Award at the 2013 Arizona Taco Festival, as well as our Bootleggers Burger (muenster cheese, whiskey onions, crimini mushroom, slab bacon, pretzel bun) named one of the Top 10 Burgers in town by the Phoenix New Times.
