Hecho en Dumbo specializes in authentic Mexican Antojitos, or "little cravings." This plays out at the dinner table in a small-plate dining format (think Spanish tapas-sized portions) comprising refined rustic Mexican staples as well as contemporary Mexico City cuisine, where Chef/owner Danny Mena hails from.

The restaurant got its start initially as a pop-up operating out of a coffee shop in Dumbo, Brooklyn (hence the name) and moved to the Bowery in 2010. Still owned and operated by the same small and passionate crew, the restaurant's overarching mission is to imbue its patrons with a sense of contemporary Mexican Culture in lieu of rural and antiquated stereotypes.
